Christmas Island The Beautiful Island In Australia

The Christmas Island is an beatiful small island, which there is in the territory of Australia. The island is located near with the island of Java, precisely on the southwest of Java island. Cristmast has tropical climate.


Christmas Island is a territory of Australia in the Indian Ocean located 2600 kilometers (1,600 miles) from north-west of Perth, Western Australia, 500 km (310 miles) in south of Jakarta, Indonesia, and 975 km (606 miles) from Cocos Island (Keeling).

The island has a population of 1402 residents who lived in a number of "settlement areas" on the northern tip of the island: Flying Fish Cove (also known as Kampong), Silver City, Poon Saan, and Drumsite.


These island are geographically isolated and very far from human reach up to the 19th century. So not surprisingly, the various flora and fauna endemic to the island is relatively undisturbed. This condition is very important for scientists and naturalists.


The number of official visitors tourists from Indonesia to the island each year reaching 80% -90% of the total tourists visiting. They generally favor the natural atmosphere of the exotic beaches. In the inside forest are very beautiful. There are many water pools discovered, waterfalls and savannas that lie towards the shore. It's really a beautiful and fascinating island.


 This island is a haven for about 30 million red crabs. They wander around all the streets located on a small island who very beautiful. In addition they also wander along the beach, where that's make the island more really amazing.


However, the island is less well known by the world because they are located on the isolated area. Logically, this island distance is more near to Indonesia than Australia, but these island have officially belonged to Australia. But anyone who comes to this island, they will surely love the christmas island, a beautiful and amazing small island in Australia.
