Sumatran Tiger is the king of the jungle of Indonesia
The researchers conclude that they are smaller in size because of limited natural habitat for them to carry out his life. In addition, they are also smaller in size because they consume prey smaller than them and the number of prey is very limited.
The stripes on the Sumatran Tiger is more tightly when compared to those found in other tiger species. This is because their natural habitat full of tall grass and this stripes allows them to easily blend with other tiger species. These Tigers also have more dense hair on his face and around his neck than any other tiger species.
One of their best tactic is to chase their prey into the water. They are very fast swimmers so that they can be easily able to take larger prey, which probably can not they get when hunting on land. They have webbing between their fingers that they use to swim in the water. They can also confuse other animals, because they have white spots behind their ears, which makes the other animals think that this is the eye. It is believed to help them stay safe from predators who will tend to come to them from behind.
Like many occur in species other than tiger, big problem is that numbers with low residual genetic, prospects who not so good. Too much of a tiger out there that are related or have genetic material that is closely related to each other. This is why researchers continue to conduct DNA tests before Sumatran Tigers are allowed to mate in captivity. If the genetic material is too closely related, then this will be able to produce offspring that are not healthy, who have physical problems that weak, or difficult to survive in their natural environment.
The biggest problem for those now is the loss of their natural habitat. As a result, it is very difficult for them to survive. They must move to another area to can find prey who enough. They also may still find it difficult to can find adequate food and water in a new environment that has been forced to them for occupy.
Sadly, the Sumatran Tiger is at a very high risk of being endangered. There are believed to be less than 500 of them remaining in the wild. Some researchers believe that there are some genetic markers of this species of tiger that could result in another subspecies being named. That is if they survive long enough though now very difficult for them to be able to continue breeding.
The Sumatran Tigers are continue to be hunted in their nature, even with a high protection status. There are many hunters in the Sumatera island there who make a lot of money from killing Sumatran tiger and they will not stop doing it unless they are caught red-handed. In addition, Sumatran Tigers were destroyed because of their natural habitats are now destroyed at an alarming rate. This is caused by illegal logging activities that occur in their natural habitat.
Since 2007, there have been huge efforts in place to protect the future for the Sumatran Tiger. However many people fear that it is simply too late and that we are only prolonging the inevitable extinction of them.
But for most groups who aren’t willing to give up on this species of tiger, they will continue to fight for tiger so that they are no longer extinct or until all hunters stop to do their activity.
