African Lions

Lion as the top predator in the area of African Savanna
Savanna is a vast grassland and interspersed by trees located on the African continent. There lived thousands of top predator big cats Savanna dominates the whole field, they are the African Lions 

Lions are big cats that are divided into eight subspecies. Six subspecies called the African Lion, Barbary lion, West African lion, northeastern Congo lion, Massai lion, Katanga lion, and the Transvaal lion. Six subspecies are the most popular.

Two other subspecies are also called the Asian Lion or the Persian lion. They are Panthera Leo Melanochaita or Cape lion and Panthera Leo persica or Asian lion and Persian lion.

Six African subspecies is the most studied by researchers around the world, because they are more popular than the other two subspecies. African lion is the second largest cat after the tiger, because tigers are the largest cat number one earned the nickname the King of the Forest.

However, African Lion capable shook the world predatory of large cats and most frightening, because they have a life of socialization or live in groups that can dominate the whole predator spread across the savannas of Africa.

The African lion subspecies has a weight heavy enough, the male lions on average 440 pounds and female lions average 330 pounds.

African lions male and female must unite and become part of a group to defend his life, because the prey can only be obtained from the hunt by the groups. A group of Lions can have up to 40 tail of members and even more. Most group members were females with children and only a few male lions.

Male lion can not be many, and there is only one powerful stud who will become leaders in the party. While other male lions are some of the young lions, who had to wait for the final turn when partying prey.

After the young lion is strong enough, they will be expelled to go from the group, and this will trigger the fight to get leadership positions. The winning stud in that fight will be a leader, he would to eat the first when get of prey and gets right to marry with all the females in the group. Male lion who lost in fighting must be willing to leave the group and should immediately challenge the males of other groups to become leaders in order to preserve his life, because the lion can only hunt in groups.

Living in groups is a must for African lion to survive. They have a natural insting of life worked together and carry out their duties in an orderly manner. The female lions in charge of hunting prey and caring for their children by friendship. The female will each nursing their children in the group indiscriminately, even kids from other females who requested milk.

While the male lion duty to protect members of the group from disorders  or attack of other predators that will prey on their children. Male lion also must always be ready to fight at any time if there are challenges from other males who want to master group, and this is a risk that will inevitably come at any time.

African lions are designed perfectly for  fight and hunting. They have big muscles and strong hind legs, allowing them to pounce on its prey easily. They have powerful claws, large jaws and sharp teeth that enable them to quickly immobilize prey or opponent. Their tails used to create a balance while chasing prey, they have a very sensitive of smell sense and sharp of the view an eight fold the human eye when they hunt at night.

Even the male lion's mane, or the hair on the head serves to show the size to appear larger, which will make the opponent or other predator to be scared. Mane is also a tool that is able to attract the females to sympathize.

The lion is the very ferocious predators and daunting, but many people who loving them, for example, me and you too.
